Sports Generation currently teach over 1,400 children in Richmond, Chiswick, Kingston, Cobham, Shepperton, Esher, Dorking and Ascot at prestigious health clubs and private residences. Demand for quality swimming lessons is high which is why Sports Generation have approached private indoor pool owners to propose a mutually beneficial partnership to meet that demand.
Whilst owning a pool is an undoubted pleasure, its upkeep can be less so. Often, private pools are used infrequently, for example only at weekends or in the holidays, and can be redundant for considerable lengths of time. Through a rental partnership with Sports Generation, indoor pool owners can capitalise on these redundant periods. This affords many benefits: offsetting running and maintenance costs, creating an additional and substantial income stream and keeping your pool running optimally, which in turn minimises deterioration.

Background
Our private pool in Cobham joined the Sports Generation portfolio in 2017 after seeing one of our adverts about pool rental in Surrey Magazine. The owner of this pool is semi-retired; his pool is being used less and less but the running costs remained relatively the same. His main aim of renting the pool was to make some additional income to help cover those costs.
Facilities
The swimming pool in Cobham was very modern and the plant room had also been recently refurbished with dehumidification units so the pool was at a level that Sports Generation could start to rent the pool almost immediately without any updates to the facilities needed. As with any new venue, Sports Generation provide site equipment to deliver a luxury experience to the client. These items included blue poolside mats, equipment for the lessons, shoe rack, hairdryers and toiletries for the changing rooms.
Maintenance
The owners wanted complete peace of mind with the rental, resulting in us providing a quarterly plant room service and advice on running the pool efficiently. This is included in the monthly rental paid to Sports Generation.
The pool owners at our Cobham pool were keen to provide a facility where young children could learn how to swim and agreed to renting the pool to us for a total of 38 weeks a year.

Our private pool in Kingston joined the Sports Generation portfolio in September 2017 after seeing one of our adverts in a magazine. The owner of this pool was looking to gain investment in an ageing pool complex, cover running costs and make some additional income.
Facilities
Our private pool in Kingston needed investment in the form of new changing facilities and plant room. Sports Generation can provide rental models whereby they investment in the current facility to provide a superior facility for swimming lessons. Our Kingston pool saw upgrades such as new internal pool lights, shower on poolside, new heating and dehumidification units as well as updates to the changing room and plant room.
Maintenance
Our private pool owner in Kingston wanted complete peace of mind and their swimming pool taken off their hands so Sports Generation provide an exclusive partnership with one of the UK’s largest swimming pool servicing company. The servicing takes place every quarter and is included in the monthly rental paid to Sports Generation.
