Originally from Poland, my hometown Walcz is situated between two beautiful lakes, Radun and Zamkowe. Growing up surrounded by lakes, being in the water came as naturally to me as walking or running. I also love spending time in the gym, swimming and teaching group cycle classes.

Since a young age I have always been very keen to keep fit and healthy whether it be swimming, cycling or running. I therefore decided to persue my passion for fitness by attending the University of Physical Education in Gorzow Wielkopolski. Whilst studying I learnt a variety of different teaching methods and strategies which I continue to use with my swimmers.

I have over 5 years’ experience teaching swimming lessons to toddlers, children and adults, from nervous beginners to advanced swimmers. I am a hard-working, determined individual, giving my all to every lesson I teach. I love the water and thoroughly enjoy teaching my swimmers techniques that will encourage their self confidence in the water and improve their swimming skills.

Teaching swimming is my passion. It is the greatest reward, knowing that I am teaching an essential life skill to your children, a skill which will stay with them forever, and that because of my teaching, they will be more confident and safe in the water.

I started my career as a Physical Education teacher in Russia. After obtaining my ASA Level 2 Swimming Coaching qualification and Level 2 certificate in Triathlon Coaching in London, I gained substantial experience teaching swimming to children and adults of all ages. I also love competing and have completed two Ironman Championships in Austria (2014) and Germany (2015), as well as numerous Open Water Races and Triathlons. As a teacher and coach, my specialty is delivering engaging swim programmes that drive the progression of all the swimmers in my classes.

If you wish to give yourself or your child a high quality learn-to-swim programme, you will be in excellent hands. You, and your child, will learn the key skills for swimming the four strokes, as well as the core elements of body control and a feel for the water. Swimming is a life-saving and life-enriching skill, and as a teacher I am very proud to be helping both children and adults learn and master these important skills. If you are a triathlete, an open water swimmer, or simply love to swim, I can help you build great technique, along with confidence and conditioning. My coaching philosophy is “Coach as if every athlete will be with me forever!”

Swimming has been one of my passions since my childhood in Italy. I’ve always enjoyed swimming in the lakes near my home, or in the sea during my summer holidays in the South of Tuscany.

After arriving in the UK in September 2003, I went to North Devon in March 2004 where I completed my beach and pool lifeguard qualifications, the climate somewhat different from what I was used to!

When I came back to London I began working in various swimming pools as a lifeguard, my aim being to become a qualified swimming coach. Once I had achieved my Level 2 certificate in 2005, I began working as a swimming instructor, gaining a wealth of experience over the years working with swimmers of every age and level. I am comfortable teaching one-on-one lessons, school groups, or a swimming club, the common denominator being that swimming is a life skill with which everyone should be equipped.

I look forward to teaching your children how to swim and to watch their progress, which is always extremely rewarding for me. I continuously strive to help each child reach his or her potential and to instill a lifelong love of swimming.

Growing up in Poland I was extremely sporty, taking part in many sports including boxing and martial arts. However from early childhood I have always felt the most comfortable whilst swimming, and as time passed I realised swimming was where my heart lay. I spent my adolescent years surrounded by beautiful lakes and I would spend many hours teaching myself how to swim until each stroke was perfected. Even though I never swam competitively, my enthusiasm for swimming never waned and I concluded that I would love to be able to teach others my knowledge and share that same passion. I completed my ASA swimming teacher certificates in 2014 and I have been teaching ever since.

I have considerable experience teaching all ages – from as little as 3 months to adults. I particularly enjoy teaching children and I aim to achieve the right balance of fun and hard work in each lesson. I focus on each child’s ability, observing closely to make sure that each stroke is being correctly executed. My reward is seeing the progression of every child each week. I have taught children who have refused to even step foot in the pool; after one lesson there is always a complete turnaround and the child is relishing being in the water!

I share Sports Generation’s strong belief that swimming should be something that everyone is taught as it is a necessary life skill. I am very excited to be coaching for them and I look forward to all of my pupils excelling at swimming.

My passion for teaching children to love the water comes from loving water myself. I want to encourage as many children as possible to have a love for the water, to learn how to be safe and respect the water, and to become little fish!

I learnt to swim at the age of 6 and joined a swimming club when I was 9 years old. My competitive career started when I was attending a sports performance school until I was 16. I competed in many competitions across Russia and swam for the country.

After completing my ASA qualifications in 2007 at Crystal Palace I gained substantial experience working as a swimming teacher and coach, developing exercise programs for athletes to achieve skills and technique to help them perform to the best of their ability.

I strive to constantly update my knowledge with the most up-to-date and dynamic techniques. This gives my clients the best results across many different abilities. During my experience I have taught and coached swimmers who have progressed through to the top squads and gone on to compete at county and national level.

I’ve spent most of my life in and around water and as a result, swimming has become a very important part of my life since childhood. In addition to swimming, I enjoy scuba diving and sailing, fully embracing the life aquatic!

I inherited my passion for swimming from my father who was a successful competitive swimmer. Following in his footsteps, I too was a competitive swimmer and also a life guard in my teens. Later, I completed my studies in the Academy of Physical Education obtaining a Master’s Degree together with full swimming coach qualifications. Since then I have pursued a career in the field of swimming teaching and coaching.

In every lesson, I strive to ensure that my pupils make fast progress, tailored to their ability and development, in friendly and relaxed surroundings.

My approach is not only to teach swimming, but also to promote lifelong participation in water-based activities for all ages and abilities, hopefully engendering a love of the water to match my own.

I have wanted to teach swimming for as long as I can remember. After my education I focused on swimming as a career and I have worked in large high profile health and leisure clubs since 2004, gathering a wealth of teaching experience and full swimming qualifications.

I particularly enjoy teaching young children; for me there is nothing more fulfilling than seeing a child’s confidence blossom in the water when they realise for the first time that they are swimming unaided. Once they have the confidence and basic buoyancy skills, I relish the challenge of coaching stroke technique and style, transforming children into skilled, strong and safe swimmers.

VINCENT FILOL

Since I was12 years old, I have immersed myself in sports such as swimming, mountain biking, running, climbing and canyoning. This passion for sport led me to move from France to London in 2004 to pursue a career as a swimming instructor, gaining my ASA qualifications in 2006 (Level 1), 2009 (Level 2), 2010 (Personal training), 2011 (Races in UK Triathlon).

Since 2006, I have worked as a swimming teacher and site coordinator. I have taught all ages with different abilities. I also taught my own boys who now swim like fishes! It always feels wonderful to pass onto another human being this critical skill for life! I particularly enjoy teaching beginners; for me there is nothing more fulfilling than seeing someone’s confidence blossom in the water when they realise for the first time that they become one element together. Once they have the confidence and basic buoyancy skills, I relish the challenge of coaching stroke technique and style, transforming individuals into skilled, strong and safe swimmers.

Never happy to rest on my laurels, I am constantly looking for ways to improve my skill set and service that will provide you, my clients, with the best possible experience and results.

I started swimming lessons at a very young age and rapidly progressed through the different levels. From swimming lessons, I moved onto my local swimming club where I competed in galas for 9 years. I started volunteering at my swimming club when I turned 16 years old. I taught the younger children and prepared them for competitive swimming. I quickly realized that I loved teaching and swimming in equal portions, I then decided to pursue my joint passion and become a swimming teacher. I have been working as a swimming teacher for four years now in various companies teaching both adults and children.

Watching the children progress and learn new skills is one of the most rewarding things you could ask for. Swimming is such a valuable skill to have now days and I am happy to impart my knowledge onto others. I enjoy the creative side of swim teaching and look to make lessons enjoyable, informative and fun for all ages.

One of the first activities I was introduced to as a child was swimming. I was raised on the beautiful Ligurian coastline in the north of Italy. Swimming was as natural to me as walking or running growing up. I am the oldest of four sisters and a brother and we spent all our time in the sea. The Mediterranean became our playground.

I have always been extremely sporty and active, pushing myself mentally and physically. I enjoy the challenges and rewards that teaching swimming offers instilling confidence, and self belief in the children and adults I coach. I believe that swimming is a life skill that every individual should learn.

Tommy Kruk

It all began when I was 5 and Otylia Jedrzejczak won her gold medal in the 200 meters Butterfly during the Olympic Games in Athens. Her race inspired me so much that I decided I wanted to swim and participate in competitions as well. Also, my parents wanted me to be able to swim to feel more confident in the water whilst on holiday. I was signed up for my first classes. The idea of being a swimming teacher was born when I knew I want to study in London. A friend of mine, who already is a swimming teacher in London, told me that teaching children how to swim is an amazing job for someone with a competitive swimming background as some of them might choose to be a competitive swimmer and gain as much from it as I did.

Swimming is one of the most fundamental things that people should be able to do. Many parents are not aware just how important swimming is for their children. For example, lack of swimming ability might, at worst, cost a life during holidays or at the very least, at lot of stress for the parents!

I pay attention to the details in swimming, as I am fully aware how important details are. Furthermore, I have practical knowledge about swimming which comes from my 13 years of experience and this knowledge will benefit my students’ technique and approach to swimming.

There are many things I love about being a swimming teacher. Watching children grow in confidence when they conquer new swimming skills and noticeably progress is incredibly rewarding, together with knowing that I am helping children to be fit and healthy adults in the future.

I am a Sports Science graduate (Bsc Hons) and have been incredibly passionate about sport since a young age. My sporting background involved Rugby, Athletics and Swimming, all of which I have both coached and competed in.

I have been a swim coach for 8  years and I continually apply what I have learnt in my degree to my coaching to maximise the progression of all the swimmers in my classes.

I enjoy watching young swimmers develop in confidence and strive to get them swimming independently, which of course is such a vital life skill. Once they are able to swim independently I endeavor to augment their technique whilst making lessons enjoyable and fun for everyone.

I was thrown into the deep end of my mum’s pool at the age of 5! I naturally began to doggy paddle and this is how I first learnt to swim!

As I grew a little older, my zeal for swimming and other sports became very much apparent. I attended Midlands Christian School in Zimbabwe where I participated in several inter school competitions for swimming, gymnastics, athletics, hockey; you name it – I did it! I have a competitive but fun nature and I always put 100% effort into whatever I do.

I am a fully qualified STA Level 2 swimming instructor and have been teaching since 2016. I enjoy teaching children and adults with different abilities as this challenges me as a coach. I am constantly researching new and creative techniques that I can implement in my classes to keep my students engaged and informed.

I am very excited to be part of the Sports Generation team where I can expand my knowledge and experience within a professional and committed company.

From a very young age I was taught to swim in the stunning Lake Balaton in Hungary, where I spent most of my childhood. Swimming was therefore a huge part of my life and to which I associate the happiest of memories. As a result of starting swimming at an early age I found it easier than other sports, and I progressed quickly.

After being a lifeguard for 2 years at the Roehampton Club, continuously watching swimming lessons going on around me, I found myself becoming increasingly interested in becoming a swimming teacher. Therefore in 2016 I took the plunge and received my ASA Level 2 qualification and have loved teaching ever since.  Whilst working at the club I also taught and led children’s termly activity camps.

I have experience teaching swimming to both children and adults; it is particularly rewarding watching children progress and seeing the joy they have for swimming. I believe teaching requires passion, engagement and patience. My personal aim is to ensure that my pupils become increasingly confident in the water.

I strongly feel that swimming is an essential life skill and I endeavour to share my experience with my pupils, encouraging them to flourish and become skilled swimmers.

I’m a sports fanatic, having played basketball for my country for 6 years, competed in athletics throughout my college years, and as I grew up on an island, swimming since the get-go. I have been a swimming coach and Personal Trainer since I graduated from my Sports Science degree (Bsc Hons) in 2013.

I’m an energetic swimming teacher, adept at customising swimming lessons for all ages, and passionate about getting students to appreciate all aspects of safe swimming and developing winning swimming teams. Most importantly I absolutely love working with children and watching them develop throughout the classes, whilst they have fun too!

Aimee Rudd

I’m Aimee and I’m very excited to be working for Sports Generation. I’ve been a fully qualified swimming teacher for several years, teaching in Plymouth and now here in London. I’m a student at University and come from a big swimming family; my father is an Olympic gold medal coach and my brother was a National Level swimmer, so swimming is very much in my blood!

I started swimming when I was very young and continued until I was 13. Swimming has always been a source of enjoyment for me. I adored swimming lessons and got a real kick out of achieving something new in each lesson. I believe that swimming is a key skill to have in life, and I am grateful that I have an opportunity to teach this to others.

I love seeing children gain confidence in the water and there’s no better feeling than seeing a smiling face when I’ve helped someone achieve something that they’ve never done before. I’m very much looking forward to teaching your child; see you in the water!
