Emma Gossington
Programme Manager
Sports and keeping healthy have been important parts of my life from a very young age, starting with horse riding when I was 6 years old. This led to a number of years learning that commitment and hard work whilst having fun were important principles to achieving my goals.
In recent years I have been drawn to the water rather than the turf; training initially as a Lifeguard, then successfully completing my Swimming Coach qualifications to teach swimming skills to all ages from babies to adults. The safety of a child in the water is of paramount importance, so having the opportunity to teach this life skill whilst making it a fun experience is hugely rewarding.
I started at Sports Generation in August 2018 as a Swimming coach and Bookings Administrator. I have then gone on to progress in the role as a Programme Co-ordinator. From here I have now progressed to Programme Manager supervising a number of swimming coaches over 9 different venues and assisting clients with booking classes, assessing each individual’s requirements and answering any questions to ensure that Sports Generation continue to provide an excellent service. I am very proud and lucky to be a part of such an professional team.
Visiting our different venues and meeting up with our Swimming Coaches and Clients is one part of my role that is a complete pleasure! To see pupils grow in confidence and develop into strong swimmers whilst having fun and enjoying the water never stops making me smile. This alongside working with parents/guardians makes me very proud to be part of the Sports Generation Team.
