Sports Generation update following the government announcement on Wednesday 27th January
The government has confirmed on Wednesday 27th January that the schools will not return to full face-to-face education after the February half-term and that the current lockdown restrictions will remain in place until at least 8th March.
Unfortunately, this means that we are unable to restart our swimming lessons until March at the earliest. Whilst there is no fixed date, we would hope that the health and fitness of the nation would be included in the early phasing and relaxing of restrictions from this provisional date of 8th March. We have the swimming pools, coaches, and our head office ready to resume swimming lessons as soon as we are given authority to do so. We will update with information as and when we receive it.
This was hugely disappointing as we had hoped to be back in the pool after the February half term. Amongst all the disappointing news, there is certainly light at the end of tunnel as vaccines have been rolled out across UK.
We would like to thank you all for your patience and continuous support, and from all of us at Sports Generation we look forward to welcoming you all back on poolside very soon.
