This lockdown seems more challenging than the previous one, partially because it was much warmer and sunnier last Spring. But we can’t let cold and wet weather dampen our spirits. As you find creative ways to keep you and your children entertained, coaches are making use of the time to do things they love or start new hobbies. This is a fun post to show what Sports Generation coaches are getting up to whilst pools are closed.
Coach Leah
Petersham and Chiswick coach Leah was so desperate to teach that she had to get her daughter in the bath for a ‘lesson’! Her lovely smile indicates the lesson was a big hit. Your little swimmers can practice kicking and blowing bubbles just like Coach Leah’s girl during the bath time. But be aware that the floor might get very wet!
Coach Ruy

Coach Jon
This lockdown has given Chiswick, Kingston and Wimbledon Coach Jon a chance to rekindle his passion for music. This is him doing the cover of Ballad of Mona Lisa by Panic at the Disco, showing he is more than a brilliant swimming coach.
Coach Vilija
Our friendly Kingston and Chiswick Coach Vilija is a magnificent calligrapher, and she creates wonderful cards for occasions such as birthdays, Christmas and Valentine’s day. You can check out her creations on her Instagram: @vilija_calligraphy and her Etsy shop!
Coach Eric
Nothing stops Chiswick Coach Eric from putting his trainers on to go for a long run including horrible weathers and lockdowns. Did you know that he has done a full marathon on Christmas day? It was no big deal for this serial marathon runner! You can spot him going around (and around) in Richmond park, sometime with another SG coach.
Coach Clare
As with the previous lockdown, Shepperton Coach Clare does not waste time sitting around and she has been busy filling her kitchen with many mouth-watering baked goods. She does, of course, steps outside for vigorous exercises to work up her appetite. Keep baking Coach Clare as home-baked cakes are good for your soul.
