My father taught me how to swim when I was 6. We used to live next to an outdoor swimming pool. My brother and I would go swimming every day in the summer and it gave me goggle tans. The better I got at swimming the more I loved it. I swam competitively until I was 22.
Swimming is a sport which can save lives and all children should be given the chance to learn to swim. Swimming is fun and it is an activity that one can enjoy for a lifetime. It also helps build confidence and learning to swim opens the door to other fun activities.
Seeing my swimmers progress and develop water confidence is incredibly rewarding. I am keen to pass on my passion for swimming by introducing and developing effective strokes in enjoyable classes, so as to support my students in achieving their goals in an efficient way.
