We are committed to ensuring that all coaches, directors and employees comply with the Sports Generation Health & Safety Policy and that all venues are risk assessed and fit for purpose
First Aid & Emergency Pool Procedures
All coaches recruited by Sports Generation are fully trained and qualified in first aid and emergency pool procedures. We provide continual training once employed (minimum twice yearly), to ensure standards are maintained and critical first aid skills are top of mind. Training incorporates the latest up to date aquatic and dry-side first aid procedure, including CPR for babies through to adults.
Training is undertaken by Dave Perry, a fully qualified Health & Safety expert with over 17 years’ http://www.health-canada-pharmacy.com experience in the swimming industry, advising both private swimming companies and public pools, as well as the STA. Dave has been involved with Sports Generation since the formation of our business in 2012, and we are now proud to have Dave as our Director of Health & Safety.
Site Risk Assessment
All new venues acquired by Sports Generation undergo a thorough risk assessment by Dave; any actions necessary to improve the safety of the pool and venue as a whole are taken prior to the commencement of our swimming programme at that site.
The directors of Sports Generation meet with Dave every month to ensure that all Sports Generation venues continue to be safe, fit for purpose and maintain Sports Generation’s venue standards.
To maintain these standards, the directors visit all Sports Generation venues weekly to provide feedback at the monthly Health & Safety meetings.
